A crime scene has been declared after a woman was killed in a unit fire on the Gold Coast in Queensland.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at Surf Parade in Surfers Paradise about 2pm today (3pm AEST) to find thick, black smoke coming from the building.
The building was evacuated and streets were closed off.
